Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has issued a stern warning to military personnel allegedly involved in disrupting parliamentary election processes. Describing the actions as “violent” and “unscrupulous,” Mahama condemned the reported deployment of troops to sow chaos and interfere with the declaration of results in certain constituencies.

In a strong statement, Mahama cautioned the individuals involved, emphasizing that their actions would not go unpunished. “They will be held individually liable and responsible for their actions,” he declared, signaling the NDC’s readiness to pursue accountability for any unlawful interference in the democratic process.

The former president’s remarks come amid growing concerns over electoral fairness and the role of security forces in the country’s elections.

Ledzokuku and Ayawaso Central were some constituencies where the military was reportedly involved in the electoral processes.
