Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it will declare the results of the 2024 presidential election today at 4:30 PM. The declaration will be broadcast live, with the public urged to tune in for the announcement.

At a press briefing in Accra on Monday, Deputy EC Commissioner Samuel Tetteh appealed to political party supporters to refrain from gathering at the National Collation Centre. He warned that such assemblies are both illegal and unnecessary, urging supporters to remain calm as the final results are processed.

“There is no need for political party supporters to crowd the national collation centre. This is both illegal and unwarranted,” Tetteh said. “The centre should only be visited by those with proper accreditation. All others can watch the results live at 4:30 PM.”
