Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have locked several relief warehouses in the Northern Region, halting the distribution of essential supplies meant for communities affected by droughts and flooding.

The government had sent vital aid, including fertilizer, rice, oil, and agrochemicals, to various districts to support farmers who lost crops due to environmental disasters. However, these supplies remain locked in the warehouses, with distribution postponed until after the election results are announced.

In a separate incident on December 9, NDC supporters in the Chereponi District of the North East Region also locked relief warehouses, further delaying aid to vulnerable communities.

These actions have raised concerns about the timely delivery of assistance to those in need amid ongoing environmental challenges in the region.
