Beyoncé expressed heartfelt pride in her daughter Blue Ivy’s performance in Disney’s upcoming film, Mufasa: The Lion King, during a recent interview with Good Morning America. Blue Ivy voices the character Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala, in this prequel set to hit theaters on December 20th.

In an emotional behind-the-scenes clip, Beyoncé fought back tears as she discussed Blue Ivy’s involvement. “If I told my younger self that I was in a movie, I’d never believe it. It’s just a really amazing experience,” Blue Ivy shared, highlighting the supportive environment of the film’s production.

Beyoncé returns to voice Nala, a role she previously played in The Lion King, alongside Donald Glover, who reprises his role as Simba in both films.

In conjunction with the film’s release, Disney is collaborating with the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund, an initiative dedicated to protecting lion populations and their habitats. This partnership aims to raise awareness about conservation efforts and inspire audience action.

Fans can look forward to experiencing Mufasa: The Lion King when it roars into theaters on December 20th.
