Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has launched a new initiative called “Pathway,” aimed at empowering Ghanaian youth to pursue their dreams both in football and other fields.

During a visit to Ghana, Frimpong unveiled the project while participating in a community football event in Dansoman. Speaking to 3 Sports, the 24-year-old explained the focus of the initiative, saying: “It’s all about the youth because they are the future. We want to help them with not only football but with anything they want to be.”

Frimpong, who helped Bayer Leverkusen secure an unbeaten Bundesliga title last season, expressed confidence in the untapped potential of Ghanaian youth. He hopes his project will help nurture and develop the talent in the country.

Born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents and raised in England, Frimpong has become an established figure in Dutch football. After progressing through Manchester City’s academy, he has earned 10 caps for the Netherlands national team, having chosen to represent his birth country.
