Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, has donated GH¢50,000 to assist victims of the recent fire at Kantamanto Market in Accra.

Bediako, who visited the site of the devastation on Friday, January 3, 2025, described the scene as deeply upsetting. Speaking to reporters, he pledged not only to offer financial support but also to spearhead efforts to rebuild the market for those affected.

“I have brought GH¢50,000 as a token to help, and I will continue working alongside others to restore the market,” he said.

The businessman and philanthropist also called on Ghanaians to unite in helping the traders who lost their livelihoods. “I urge all Ghanaians to contribute in any way possible to assist these traders during this difficult time,” he added.

Despite the scale of the destruction, many traders have already begun clearing debris and preparing the site for reconstruction, reflecting their determination to recover from the disaster.
