On Monday, January 6, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo hosted President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for a tour of the Jubilee House, ahead of the official handover ceremony scheduled for January 7, 2025.

The tour allowed Mahama and Opoku-Agyemang to familiarise themselves with the presidency’s facilities and operations, which will be central to their administration once they take office.

Akufo-Addo’s presidency will officially end on January 7, 2025, when Mahama, who won the December 7 general election, will be sworn in.

The inauguration ceremony, set to take place at Black Star Square, is expected to be attended by a range of dignitaries, diplomats, and various sector representatives.
