Speaking to Channel One TV, Mogtari, a long-time ally of Mahama, said she felt “humbled and deeply grateful” for the opportunity, highlighting the significance of the moment and the responsibility it carries. “Expectations are very high, and I am confident this team is capable of delivering on those expectations,” she stated.

Her comments followed the President-elect’s announcement of key appointments to his administration on January 7, 2025, during his swearing-in ceremony.

Among the newly appointed officials are:

Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu as Acting Spokesperson to the President

Dr. Callistus Mahama as Executive Secretary to the President

Dr. Valerie Sawyerr as Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs

Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew Appiah-Opong as Legal Counsel to the President

Mogtari praised the appointees’ exceptional talent and experience, calling the selection “one of the best decisions ever made.” She expressed optimism that their diverse expertise would be pivotal in advancing the government’s agenda for economic growth, good governance, and national development.
