Kurt Okraku, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has officially submitted his nomination to contest for a position on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee. Elections for the role are set for March 2025.

Okraku is set to run unopposed for the WAFU Zone B seat, marking a pivotal moment in his career. In 2021, Okraku withdrew his candidacy to foster unity within the zone, allowing Djibril Hamidou, President of the Niger Football Association, to stand uncontested.

However, with Hamidou now pursuing a seat on the FIFA Council, Okraku has moved forward with his bid. WAFU Zone B is reported to be fully supporting Okraku, placing him in a strong position to secure the CAF role and enhance his influence in African football governance.
