Ghana’s Parliament has greenlit the first batch of ministerial appointments made by President John Dramani Mahama, following a rigorous vetting process.
The confirmed nominees include:
Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance
John Jinapor as Minister for Energy
Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice
On January 13, the Appointments Committee held hearings to assess the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and their vision for tackling the country’s most pressing issues. After the committee presented its report, the nominees were debated in the House, with MPs ultimately voting in favor of their approval.
This marks a significant step in Mahama’s efforts to assemble a team focused on addressing national challenges and advancing his policy agenda.
