Salifu Ibrahim, a worker with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) under Zoomlion Ghana Limited, has been commended for his honesty after returning GH₵20,000 to its rightful owner in Tamale, Northern Region.

The incident occurred when Ibrahim found a substantial amount of money and, rather than keeping it, took the steps to locate the owner and return it. When asked why he chose to return the money, Ibrahim cited his religious beliefs, stating it was against his principles to take what did not belong to him.

The owner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, expressed immense gratitude for Ibrahim’s honesty, calling the act “selfless” and “overwhelming.”

Ibrahim’s actions have earned him widespread recognition, with many calling for formal acknowledgment of his integrity. This event highlights the enduring value of honesty in society, underscoring its importance in both personal and professional conduct.
