Mahama Appoints Gyamfi Felix as Acting Director-General of National Service Authority

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gyamfi Felix as the acting Director-General of the National Service Authority, effective January 22, 2025.

The appointment, made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), is provisional, pending the receipt of formal advice from the governing board in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

In a letter dated January 22, 2025, signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., the President’s Secretary, Mr. Felix was requested to confirm his acceptance within 14 days. The letter also conveyed the President’s best wishes as Mr. Felix assumes responsibility for the Authority’s mandate on youth development and national service.

Key government officials, including the Vice President, Chief of Staff, and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, have been informed of the appointment.
