Controversial political activist and musician, A-Plus, has claimed victory in the parliamentary race for Gomoa Central, marking a notable shift from his activism to legislative politics.

In a post on social media, A-Plus declared, “I WON!!,” as provisional results appeared to support his assertion. The counting of ballots is still ongoing, but his supporters have already taken to social media to congratulate him on what they believe will be a historic win.

A-Plus campaigned on a platform that resonated with grassroots voters, and his victory represents a significant moment in Ghana’s political landscape.

He was contesting the seat held by Naana Eyiah Quansah, the incumbent Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Interior, who represents the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
