A&C Mall has assured customers that it will cover the full cost of repairs for vehicles damaged when a parking lot structure collapsed during a severe rainstorm on Tuesday, March 25. The storm caused significant damage to a solar panel structure covering a section of the carport, affecting several cars. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

In a statement, the mall’s management confirmed that its insurers would handle the repair costs. “We acknowledge that some customers’ vehicles were impacted, and we want to assure all affected owners that repairs will be fully covered by our insurers, who are already assessing the damages,” the statement read.

The mall emphasized its commitment to customer safety, adding that measures are being taken to reinforce the carport’s structural integrity to prevent future incidents. Management also expressed appreciation for the swift response from the Ghana Police Service, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and the Ghana National Fire Service, who assisted during the emergency.

Affected customers have been directed to contact the mall’s customer service team for further details, with management thanking patrons for their patience as repairs continue.
