Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed confidence that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will win Saturday’s election, citing the party’s achievements over the past eight years as the key to its success.
Speaking at the NPP’s final rally at the University of Ghana, Legon, on December 5, Dr Bawumia highlighted the government’s efforts to address challenges and improve the lives of Ghanaians.
“We are a problem-solving government,” he said, emphasizing the leadership of President Nana Akufo-Addo in driving solutions. “We have been solving problems,” he added.
Dr Bawumia pointed to several accomplishments, including the Free Senior High School policy, which has expanded access to education and led to improved student performance. He noted that the number of girls attending Senior High School has now surpassed that of boys, a significant improvement since the NPP took office.
The Vice President urged voters to support the NPP for a future full of opportunities, contrasting his party’s forward-looking approach with that of the opposition, which he suggested was focused on the past.
“The choice is simple – are we moving forward with a mindset of possibilities, or backward with a mindset of stagnation?” he asked.
Dr Bawumia called on NPP supporters to turn out in large numbers on election day to secure the party’s victory.
