A 16-year-old boy, Elrad Salifu Amoako, son of Ghanaian Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, is set to face a juvenile court in Accra today, where he is expected to be charged with manslaughter. The charges relate to a fatal car accident on October 12, 2024, that claimed two lives in the East Legon area of Accra.

According to Ghana Police, Elrad, who was allegedly driving a Jaguar SUV with the registration GN 7801 20, collided with an Acura four-wheel drive, registration GR 2542 23, on Mensah Wood Avenue. The Acura, driven by Joseph Ackah, reportedly had four other passengers at the time of the crash.

The parents of the alleged underage driver, Bishop Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, were detained by police earlier in connection with the incident.

Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing as they examine the circumstances surrounding the accident and the involvement of the underage driver.
