The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that an incident involving a broken seal on an electoral material bag in Koforidua has been resolved, with no impact on the integrity of the contents.

The seal was found to be broken upon removal of the bag from the armoury, which was to be distributed to a constituency in the Eastern Region. Authorities investigated the matter and determined that the seal had come off during the packing and unpacking process.

The Electoral Commission, along with representatives from political parties, has verified that the contents of the bag remained intact and that there was no tampering. The situation has been fully addressed, with stakeholders reassured of the security and legitimacy of the electoral materials.
