Nollywood actress Chika Ike has responded to swirling rumours about her pregnancy and supposed plans to marry Nigerian politician Prince Ned Nwoko, calling the speculation “laughable” and “clueless.”

In a fiery Instagram post on February 18, 2025, Ike denied claims that Nwoko is the father of her unborn child and shut down rumors that she’s set to become his seventh wife. Accompanying the post were images from her pregnancy photoshoot, which she revealed after keeping her pregnancy private for several months.

“I’ve kept silent on many rumors before, but this one is different  it’s about my child,” Ike wrote. “Ned isn’t the father of my child, and whatever names you come up with next, you’re wrong.”

The actress also made it clear that she has no intention of becoming Nwoko’s wife, reiterating her stance against polygamy. “I’ve said it before  I’m not about to be anyone’s seventh wife! Polygamy isn’t for me,” she said, adding that she had kept her pregnancy a secret until now, pointing out how little the public actually knows about her life.

On February 17, 2025, Prince Ned Nwoko also addressed the rumors, issuing a statement confirming that he has no plans to add Ike to his list of wives.
