Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been reassigned to the Interior Ministry as a Technical Advisor to the Minister.

A statement from the President’s office, signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, commended COP Addo-Danquah for her exceptional dedication and professionalism, adding that the President believes her expertise will continue to be a valuable asset in her new role.

This move comes after COP Addo-Danquah’s recent appointment as the Director-General of Research and Planning in a broader shake-up within the Ghana Police Service. A statement released by the Police Service’s Public Affairs Directorate confirmed the changes, which are set to take immediate effect.

Before this reassignment, COP Addo-Danquah had returned to the Police after a tenure as Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). Her career has also seen her serve as the Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), making her one of the most seasoned and respected figures in Ghana’s law enforcement.
