The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has announced plans to destroy another batch of defective ballot papers on November 30, 2024.

A letter issued to presidential candidates and signed by the EC’s Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey, confirmed the destruction will take place at the affected printing houses.

The letter stated: “You are kindly informed that the Commission has scheduled Saturday, 30th November, 2024 to shred or burn all faulty ballot papers at the Printing Houses.”

It further instructed political parties and independent candidates to send two representatives each to observe the process.

This follows a similar action taken on November 12, when the EC destroyed defective ballot papers for the Ahafo and Volta regions.
