Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has issued a stern warning to political party supporters, urging them to refrain from gathering at the National Collation Centre in Accra.

The warning comes after a group of supporters from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) assembled at the EC’s premises.

Speaking to journalists on December 9, Deputy EC Commissioner Samuel Tetteh stressed the importance of maintaining calm and order throughout the electoral process. He reminded all political parties to respect the procedures in place.

Tetteh also confirmed that the presidential and parliamentary election results will be announced at 4:30 PM. He added, “There is no need for supporters to crowd the National Collation Centre. This is both illegal and unnecessary. Only those with proper accreditation should be present; others can watch the results live on television at 4:30 PM.”
