The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled maintenance work in the Tema Region to enhance service delivery. The maintenance will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with several areas expected to be affected.

These include Star Steel, Dawhenya Township, Abbey Kope, Adotey, Miotso, Ghanaman Soccer Academy, Abia, Prampram, Kpoi Ete, Central University, Ososhie, P.S. Global, Devtraco, Methodist Junction, and surrounding locations.

ECG has apologized for any disruptions this may cause to residents and businesses and urged those affected to plan accordingly.

In addition to the planned maintenance, the ECG also addressed ongoing power outages in other regions. A cable fault at Abuakwa Maakro, near the ECG Abuakwa District Office, has led to outages in the Ashanti West Region, impacting areas such as Abuakwa Maakro, Asonomaso, Manhyia, Koforidua, and Akrpong Junction.

Furthermore, an underground cable fault at Ogbojo in the Accra East Region has caused outages in areas including Ogbojo Asafoatse, Otienshie, Ability, Dzen Ayor, and the Galaxy International School area.

ECG assured customers that engineers are working to resolve these issues and restore power as quickly as possible, while expressing regret for the inconvenience caused.
