Fan Milk PLC has issued an apology for the traffic disruption caused by a truck accident on the Achimota-Tesano overhead bridge on the evening of Saturday, 25 January 2025.

The company, which was not directly involved in the accident, stated that the truck was operated by one of its third-party logistics partners, Adwenpa Transport Services Limited. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was empty.

The accident, which caused significant congestion in the area, did not result in any injuries or fatalities. No other vehicles were reported to have been damaged. Eyewitnesses at the scene described the truck as having overturned, forcing traffic to flow in a single lane.

The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was unharmed. According to reports, he claimed that another vehicle had suddenly cut across his path, prompting him to take evasive action, which led to the loss of control of the truck.

Fan Milk has assured the public that Adwenpa Transport is working closely with authorities to investigate the incident and clear the truck to restore normal traffic flow. In a statement, the company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and extended its apologies to affected road users, motorists, and the local community.

“Adwenpa is cooperating fully with the authorities to resolve the situation,” the statement read.
