President John Dramani Mahama marked Father’s Day with a message honoring fathers and father figures, urging men to remain committed to raising the next generation of leaders, innovators and responsible citizens.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Mr. Mahama highlighted the role fathers play in shaping families and society, encouraging them to invest in the growth and development of their children.
“Happy Father’s Day to all men. Let’s continue to build giants,” he wrote.

The message underscored the importance of fatherhood in fostering future generations and contributing to national development.

Father’s Day, observed in many countries around the world, recognizes the contributions of fathers and father figures to their families and communities. The occasion serves as a tribute to the guidance, support and sacrifices made by men in raising children and helping shape their futures.

Across Ghana, families marked the day through church services, family gatherings and tributes on social media. Many used the occasion to express appreciation for fathers, guardians, mentors and other male role models who have played significant roles in their lives.
