The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has canceled its revenue assurance agreement with Evatex Logistics Limited, citing lack of results since the deal began.

Managing Director Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare issued the termination on July 28, 2025, in an official document. No payments have been made to Evatex under the contract terms.

The move comes as the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) intensifies its probe into the controversial deal, which has drawn attention for alleged links to Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML). Former GACL Board Chairman and media personality Paul Adom-Otchere has been taken in for questioning over the matter.

Evatex was engaged to conduct revenue assurance for cargo operations at Kotoka International Airport on a performance-based model—earning 15% of any hidden revenue detected and recovered. However, sources indicate that no such concealment has been uncovered since the contract took effect.

A prior internal audit in June 2024 similarly found no evidence of revenue shortfalls, raising questions about the necessity of the engagement.

Per the contract’s termination clause, either party could withdraw from the agreement with one month’s notice. The OSP investigation continues, focusing on Evatex’s connections to SML, which was not directly involved in the GACL contract.
