Ghana Election 2024: Bawumia Confident of Presidential Win After December Polls

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has voiced his optimism about winning Ghana’s upcoming general election on December 7, citing his party’s record of achievements as key to securing victory.

Speaking to supporters at a rally in Oforikrom in the Ashanti Region, Dr Bawumia highlighted key policies introduced by the NPP, which he believes have positively impacted the lives of Ghanaians. He pointed to the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) program as a transformative initiative, allowing thousands of students to access secondary education without financial hardship.

He also cited the “Planting for Food and Jobs” programme, the “One District, One Factory” initiative, and a series of digital reforms, which he argued have strengthened Ghana’s economy, created jobs, and spurred economic growth.

Dr Bawumia said these efforts reflect the NPP’s commitment to improving the welfare of Ghanaians, setting it apart as the party best suited to lead the nation forward. He urged Ghanaians to vote for the NPP, describing the upcoming election as a chance to continue on a path of development and progress that he claims only the NPP can provide.

Assuring the crowd of his confidence in the party’s chances, Dr Bawumia said, “Winning the 2024 election is within our reach. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be Ghana’s next president.”

If successful, he promised further advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, and education across the country.
