The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has issued a warning to the public about a fraudulent recruitment scheme circulating online, falsely claiming to represent the Service.

In a statement released on Monday, 2 June 2025, the GIS disassociated itself from a website, GOLERNERSHUB.COM, which it says is fraudulently advertising a so-called protocol recruitment exercise on its behalf.

The Service made it clear that no recruitment is currently underway and that it has not authorised any individual, group, or third-party platform to carry out recruitment or sell protocol forms.

“No official clearance has been given by the Government for any recruitment exercise at this time,” the statement read.

The GIS assured the public that, once authorised, any official recruitment will be announced through credible platforms, including national newspapers and the Service’s official communication channels.

Authorities say an investigation has been launched by the GIS Intelligence Section in collaboration with other state security agencies to identify those behind the scam.

The public has been urged to remain vigilant and report any contact or solicitation from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or similar unofficial platforms.

“Anyone who engages with such fraudulent entities does so at their own risk,” the statement warned.

The GIS reiterated its commitment to maintaining the integrity of its recruitment process and urged the public to verify any information through its Public Affairs Department via email at info@immigration.gov.gh or by calling 0555027024.
