Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister-designate, has reiterated the country’s commitment to maintaining a neutral foreign policy and fostering diplomatic relations with all nations.
Speaking before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on January 31, 2025, Ablakwa affirmed that Ghana would continue to adhere to the principle of being “friends of all, enemies of none.” He stressed the importance of maintaining a balanced approach to foreign policy that does not alienate any country, irrespective of political or ideological differences.
“Ghana remains friends of all and enemies of none,” said Ablakwa, emphasizing the nation’s historical tradition of diplomacy and peaceful engagement with the international community.
Ablakwa’s comments reflect his determination to preserve Ghana’s reputation as a fair and peaceful actor on the global stage. Under his leadership, he outlined that the country’s foreign policy would prioritize dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect in its international relations.
