The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced plans to upgrade its Clou Prepayment metering system starting Friday, October 25. The upgrade process is expected to last until November 24 and will involve a mandatory 40-digit token input to reset and update meters.

Customers in areas including Afienya, Nungua, Tema North, Tema South, Ablekuma, Bortianor, Kole-bu, Nsawam, Ashiaman, Amasaman, Kaneshie, and Dansoman are set to be affected. During this period, ECG warns that users may experience disruptions when accessing the ECG Power App.

To address any issues, ECG advises affected customers to visit their nearest ECG Prepayment Vendor, District Office, or contact the ECG Call Centre.

“We regret any inconvenience this upgrade may cause,” the company stated, adding that it remains committed to enhancing service reliability across its network.
