Gospel singer and pastor, MOGmusic, has acknowledged the significant role that Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, Founder and Apostle General of Royalhouse Chapel International, has played in the success of his New Wine Concert.

In a recent interview in Joy Prime’s Changes show on March 21, 2025, MOGmusic, whose real name is Nana Yaw Boakye, revealed that the Apostle financially supported the concert’s first three editions and has remained a dedicated supporter ever since its inception in 2015.

The gospel minister recalled how Rev. Korankye Ankrah’s mentorship and generosity greatly influenced his career. He shared that the Apostle helped fund his debut album and the initial stages of the New Wine concert, which paved the way for his subsequent achievements.

“I met the Apostle Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, and my service to his vision touched his heart. He told me that he would help me. So, I submitted to his leadership, and I can say for three years straight when I started doing New Wine, he single-handedly financed everything,” MOGmusic said.

The Mala hitmaker also highlighted how the Apostle’s support extended beyond financial contributions. “He invested time, money, prayer, and counsel, while also instilling discipline, which contributed to my breakthrough,” he added.

MOGmusic, who has won multiple accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Male Vocalist of the Year in 2020 and 2021, has inspired many with his spirit-filled performances at the New Wine Concert. The event, which has been held annually for over a decade, recently took place in Kumasi and is scheduled to return to Accra on March 30, 2025, at the First Love Church.

The 2025 Accra edition of the concert will feature renowned gospel artists including Joe Mettle, Obaapa Christy, Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye Jnr, Barry Neequaye, and Quame Gyedu.
