Haruna Iddrisu, Kwame Governs Agbodza others to Be Vetted Today

Ghana’s Appointments Committee is set to continue the vetting of ministerial nominees on Monday, January 20, 2025, with key individuals in line for scrutiny.

Among those scheduled for vetting today are:

Kwame Governs Agbodza, nominated as Minister for Roads and Highways

Haruna Iddrisu, nominated as Minister for Education

Eric Opoku, nominated as Minister for Food and Agriculture

The vetting process will extend into Tuesday, January 21, 2025, with the following nominees under review:

Ahmed Ibrahim, nominated for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs

Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, nominated for Gender, Children, and Social Protection

Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, nominated for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry

The Appointments Committee will evaluate each nominee’s qualifications, professional experience, and readiness to lead their respective ministries.

Additional nominees slated for review throughout the week include:

Wednesday, January 22, 2025:

Abla Dzifa Gomashie, nominated for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts

Emelia Arthur, nominated for Fisheries and Aquaculture

George Opare-Addo, nominated for Youth Development and Empowerment

Thursday, January 23, 2025:

Ali Adolf G. John, nominated for Northern Region

Friday, January 24, 2025:

Ibrahim Tia, nominated for North East Region

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, nominated for Ashanti Region

Akamugri Atanga Donatus, nominated for Upper East Region

Monday, January 27, 2025:

Charity Gardiner, nominated for Ahafo Region

Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, Esq., nominated for Savannah Region

Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, nominated for Greater Accra Region

As the government moves to confirm its leadership team, the vetting process remains a critical step to ensuring the right people are in place to drive key national policies.
