The Accra High Court has reduced the bail for Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), from GHS120 million to GHS80 million. His wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, also faces a GHS80 million bail, with two sureties required to justify their claims.

Both Adu-Boahene and Miss Boateng are required to report to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) three times a week and have been prohibited from travelling without the express permission of EOCO.

The couple has been in custody following an investigation into allegations of embezzlement, fraud, and illicit financial transactions. Adu-Boahene, who headed the NSB from 2017 until February 2025, is accused of funneling millions of Ghanaian cedis of state funds into personal accounts.

The couple’s legal representative, Samuel Atta Akyea, expressed confidence that the revised bail terms would be met successfully.
