The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has announced a significant reshuffling of senior officers. The new appointments, which impact the top echelons of the Police Service, come as part of a broader effort to enhance performance and control within the force.
Among the prominent changes is the appointment of COP/Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwa Addo-Danquah, formerly Director-General of Research and Planning, and COP/Mr. Paul Manly Awini, formerly overseeing the Service Workshop in Accra, to the newly reconstituted 31-member Police Management Board.
The IGP’s reshuffle seeks to improve strategic leadership across key departments and regions.
A statement issued on March 19, 2025, signed by Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Director of Public Affairs, outlines the reorganization of senior officers and their new assignments.
The reshuffled Police Management Board includes the following new appointments:
