In a recent shake-up, President John Dramani Mahama has appointed new leadership for three critical security agencies in Ghana: the Ghana Immigration Service, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), and the Ghana Prisons Service.

The announcement was made through a statement from the presidency on Friday, March 13, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the President’s Spokesperson and Minister of Government Communications.

The newly appointed leaders include DDGP Patience Baffoe-Bonnie, who steps in as the Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service, DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, who takes the helm as the Chief Fire Officer, and DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu, who has been named the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.

These appointments follow the recent swearing-in of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector General of Police, replacing COP George Akuffo Dampare. The leadership changes signal a shift in key security and law enforcement roles across the country.
