Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed confidence in his chances of victory in the upcoming presidential election, claiming that even supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) are disillusioned with the current government’s performance.

Speaking to a crowd during his campaign trail, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer said, “Even my friends in the NPP are strongly urging me on to win the elections. Many NPP supporters will secretly vote for us because of how this government has mismanaged the country.”
Mahama pointed to widespread economic hardship, corruption allegations, and unmet promises as key factors driving voters to consider the NDC as the alternative for change.
The former president reiterated his commitment to implementing policies that would prioritize the well-being of ordinary Ghanaians, including creating jobs, stabilizing the economy, and addressing the challenges of the education and healthcare sectors.
With only days left until the December 7 election, Mahama’s bold claims add to the intensity of an already competitive race, as both major political parties vie for the hearts of voters.
