Margaret Ansei has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), effective January 27, 2025.

Ansei, a seasoned public servant widely known as “Magoo,” brings a wealth of experience in governance and development to the role. She previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suhum in the Eastern Region.

Her appointment underscores the government’s confidence in her leadership to advance the GEA’s mission of supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which are critical to Ghana’s economic growth. As Acting CEO, Ansei will focus on driving initiatives aimed at empowering small businesses through innovative programs, capacity-building efforts, and financial support to enhance economic development and job creation.

The GEA’s mandate includes promoting the growth and sustainability of MSMEs, which play a pivotal role in the country’s economy. Ansei’s background in local governance and community development positions her to lead the agency in its continued efforts to foster entrepreneurship and bolster small business growth across the nation.
