Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has dismissed Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win’s, public apology following her GH₵5 million defamation lawsuit against him. Ankomah, who filed the suit in February 2024, accused Lil Win of making defamatory comments about her in a viral video.

The actress stated that Lil Win’s apology lacked the necessary components of a proper retraction and apology. She is seeking GH₵5 million in damages, along with a formal retraction and apology of equal prominence to the original defamatory statements.

During a High Court hearing on December 13, 2024, both parties discussed a possible settlement. The case has been adjourned until February 2025, with expectations that Lil Win may issue a new, more satisfactory apology as part of the settlement. Ankomah’s legal team has emphasized that any resolution must adequately address the harm to her reputation.
