The government has removed Olivia Okailey Quartey, Deputy Director-General for Managerial Operations, and Prof. Ezer Osei Yeboah-Boateng, Deputy Director-General for Technical Operations, from their roles at the National Communications Authority (NCA).

The decision, confirmed by multiple sources, is part of a broader leadership reshuffle aimed at strengthening the NCA’s regulatory and operational framework. Both Quartey and Yeboah-Boateng had been instrumental in overseeing the regulation of Ghana’s telecommunications and broadcasting sectors.

Although the government has not officially stated the reasons for their removal, the move signals a desire by the new National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration to refresh leadership in key positions, as it addresses emerging challenges in Ghana’s rapidly evolving telecommunications industry.
