Newcastle End 70-Year Trophy Drought with Historic Carabao Cup Triumph Over Liverpool

Newcastle United have etched their names in history, claiming their first major trophy in 70 years with a stunning 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the 2025 Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Defender Dan Burn sent the Toon Army into raptures just before halftime, rising high to head Newcastle into the lead. The Magpies doubled their advantage early in the second half when Alexander Isak coolly slotted home in the 52nd minute, putting Eddie Howe’s side in firm control.
