Nigerian actress and producer Omotola Jalade has shared her gratitude to God for her survival after undergoing a life-saving surgery to remove her gallbladder.

In a heartfelt social media post on November 28, 2024, Omotola revealed the series of events that led to her emergency surgery. The actress explained that her ordeal began weeks ago with intermittent chest and back pains, which eventually intensified, causing a severe stomach ache that prompted her to seek medical help.

After being rushed to the hospital twice due to the pain, Omotola was brought back a third time, where doctors performed extensive tests, including a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI. The results revealed that her gallbladder was severely dilated, leading to an immediate emergency surgery.

Describing the experience, Omotola wrote, “Have you ever been told by a doctor, ‘There’s nothing more we can do’? And you still feel like you’re dying? I was rushed again to the emergency…the third time! This time, I was wheeled in straight for a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI. Then the doctor came in and said, ‘You have to go in immediately for surgery!’ It was so dilated, the doctors wondered how I was not in more pain. More pain??!!!”

Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and the actress is now on the road to recovery.

Omotola also took the opportunity to encourage her followers to appreciate their health and blessings, urging them to be grateful despite any challenges they may face.
