Parliament Approves Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as Ministers

Ghana’s Parliament has approved the nominations of Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as ministers following a thorough vetting process.

The nominees, who underwent rigorous scrutiny by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee, were endorsed after a majority vote in the House. The process examined their qualifications, competencies, and plans for their respective ministries.

Ahmed Ibrahim, the Member of Parliament for Banda, has been appointed to lead the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP for Krowor, will head the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, while Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP for Techiman North, will oversee the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry.

The new ministers have been praised for their dedication to public service and community development. They are expected to bring innovative ideas and leadership to their roles, with a focus on advancing the policies of the John Mahama administration.
