Patrick Yaw Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, has rejected claims made in a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) that he has endorsed John Mahama, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The video, posted on November 28, 2024, by user Political Warden (khkayy27), allegedly shows Mr. Boamah encouraging voters to support him in the upcoming December 7 elections while also voting for Mahama, a practice known as “skirt and blouse” voting.

In a statement released on Friday, November 29, Mr. Boamah denounced the video as a manipulated fabrication, asserting that it features an AI-generated voiceover designed to mislead the public.

He urged Ghanaians to ignore the video, labeling it as malicious propaganda aimed at damaging his reputation and fostering division. “Please disregard this false AI-generated content and propaganda published on social media which is leveled against me,” he stated.
