President Mahama commences ‘Thank You Tour’ in Volta Region on January 24

President John Dramani Mahama will begin a nationwide “Thank You Tour” on Friday, January 24, with the Volta Region as his first stop, marking the start of a journey to express gratitude to Ghanaians for their support in the 2024 general elections.

The tour, announced by the Presidency, is intended not only as a platform for the president to thank the electorate but also as an opportunity to strengthen the connection between Mahama and the citizens of Ghana. The Volta Region, which has been a key stronghold for Mahama’s party, was selected as the starting point, signaling the significance of the region in the president’s electoral success.

The highlight of the Volta event will be a grand durbar, featuring a diverse range of stakeholders, including chiefs, religious leaders, labor union representatives, and community leaders. The event is expected to serve as a symbol of the region’s collective role in Ghana’s democratic and developmental progress.

This tour follows President Mahama’s swift move to announce a full cabinet within two weeks of assuming office, a significant milestone in his leadership. The President’s spokesperson also extended an invitation to Ghanaians to participate in the tour, underscoring the importance of unity and collective achievement for the nation’s future.
