Dutch football legend Robin van Persie has officially been unveiled as the new Feyenoord head coach, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027.

The former striker, who enjoyed a stellar playing career with Feyenoord, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Fenerbahçe, takes over the reins at De Kuip as he steps into his first senior managerial role.

Van Persie’s appointment marks a new chapter for the Rotterdam giants, who continue to build on their recent domestic and European successes. The 41-year-old had been as the head coach of Eredivisie side Heerenveen.

To bolster his backroom staff, Van Persie has brought in Rene Hake, who previously worked as Erik ten Hag’s assistant at Manchester United. Hake, a well-respected coach with experience managing clubs like Go Ahead Eagles and FC Utrecht, will provide crucial tactical support as Feyenoord aims to challenge for Eredivisie supremacy and make an impact in Europe.
