Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has claimed that his long-time rival, Stonebwoy, is letting fame go to his head. Speaking on the Rants, Bants, and Confessions podcast, Shatta Wale stated that Stonebwoy is becoming “swollen-headed” as his popularity increases.

The “Dancehall King” hitmaker explained that he has made numerous attempts to reconcile with Stonebwoy, whose songs like “Manodzi” and “Jejereje” have garnered substantial acclaim. Shatta Wale shared that he has reached out multiple times, proposing collaboration to settle differences and leverage their respective fanbases for mutual success. However, his efforts, he said, were met with resistance.

“I don’t have any problem with Stonebwoy, but it seems he and some others in the industry are not being genuine. They’re not willing to discuss the real issues behind the scenes,” Shatta Wale remarked. He added that he has had issues in the past with fellow artiste Samini but not with Stonebwoy, stressing that his intentions are positive.

Despite ongoing social media battles between their fans, both artists have often clashed publicly, fuelling their long-standing rivalry.
