Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has pledged to buy his long-time friend and fellow artist, Samini, a “big” car, expressing his gratitude for their enduring friendship.

Speaking in an interview on Kessben FM in Kumasi on November 25, Shatta Wale spoke candidly about his bond with Samini, describing him as his “best friend.” He revealed that despite efforts to create conflict between them in the past, their relationship has remained strong.

“The only person they tried to turn me against was Samini,” Shatta Wale said. “But we’ve grown so close, and now Samini is my best friend because I love him so much. I owe him a lot in my life.”

Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah, added that he was praying for financial success so that one day, he could buy Samini a “big” car as a birthday gift.

“I’m praying to God to bless me with more money so that on one of my birthdays, I can buy a big car for him,” he said.

Shatta Wale also addressed tensions within the music industry, noting that attempts to pit him against other stars such as Stonebwoy and Black Sherif have been ongoing. He urged fans and the industry to move past divisive narratives and focus on unity.

The two artists, once embroiled in a bitter rivalry over the title of ‘Dancehall King’ in Ghana, have since reconciled and now enjoy a positive relationship.
