The Special Committee assigned to investigate the vetting chaos has started its proceedings today, February 5, 2025.

The hearing, which commenced today, February 5, aims to probe the chaotic scenes that led to the destruction of state property.

The incident, which caused significant disruption, saw four Members of Parliament (MPs) suspended for their roles in the unrest. However, following discussions among the leadership of the House, the Speaker has since exonerated the MPs, clearing them of any wrongdoing.

The committee is expected to gather further details to determine the full extent of the damage and the individuals responsible for the disruption.
