Ahead of Ghana’s general elections on December 7, 2024, renowned dancehall musician Stonebwoy has confirmed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reached out to him to perform at one of their campaign events.

In an interview with Hitz FM, Stonebwoy explained that while he had received a call from the NDC, he had not yet discussed the details of the arrangement. He said that his decision to perform would largely depend on the financial terms.

“There are a few considerations, and I’ve had a call from the NDC,” he said. “To be clear, I haven’t had direct talks with any NDC official, but we’re currently negotiating the fee. If everything works out, I will perform for my fans and possibly use some of the proceeds for the BHIM Festival.”

Stonebwoy also emphasized the importance of peaceful elections, regardless of political affiliation. “As December approaches, we are all seeking peaceful elections. When I perform on any platform—whether for NPP, NDC, or CPP—it’s for peace. We are all one Ghana, and in the end, Ghana must win,” he added.
