Vetran Actor Mawuli Semevo dead

Celebrated Ghanaian actor Mawuli Semevo has passed away at the age of 63, following injuries sustained in a fire accident. He died on February 20, 2025, at Ridge Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for severe burns.

Semevo’s condition was first reported publicly on February 8, 2025, by Judith Addison of Beyond Burns International, who revealed that the actor was in critical condition after the accident.

Known for his impactful roles in films such as Harvest at 17, A Stab in the Dark, Escape of Love, Like Cotton Twines, and The Good Old Days: The Love of AA, Semevo leaves behind a remarkable legacy in Ghana’s entertainment industry.

His passing has sent shockwaves through the creative arts community, with tributes flooding in from fans and colleagues. Actor Ken Fiati shared a heartfelt message on Facebook: “Rest In Perfect Peace, Senior Mawuli Semevo.”
