World Vision Ghana has launched a new initiative aimed at improving the quality and reliability of water services in several communities across the country. The project will involve installing water storage tanks in the Asunafo Asutifi North, Ahafo Kenyase, and Goaso municipalities in the Ahafo Region, as well as in parts of the Oti and Volta Regions.

This initiative stems from a memorandum of understanding signed between World Vision Ghana and Polytank Ghana Limited. The partnership focuses on enhancing access to clean water, improving sanitation, and promoting sustainable development in the beneficiary communities.

Speaking at the launch, Jean-Claude Mukadi, Interim National Director of World Vision Ghana, emphasized the organization’s commitment to empowering communities and improving lives through impactful projects. He highlighted the importance of clean water and acknowledged the daily struggles faced by underserved communities in accessing this essential resource.

“With the support of Polytank, we are determined to turn these challenges into opportunities,” Mukadi stated. “The 26 storage tanks provided by Polytank will be strategically placed in communities, schools, and health centers with urgent needs for clean water solutions.”

He further noted that this initiative is only the beginning, as the partnership aims to achieve broader goals in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). These efforts are expected to improve public health, promote environmental sustainability, and empower community members to drive their development, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6).

Girender Mohinani, Business Head of Polytank Ghana Limited, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that the initiative aligns with the company’s mission to support households and contribute to community well-being.
